It’s a new generation of technology and information. While the information is out there, sometimes it is just too spread out. Our mission is to bring this information together into one source, for the pool and billiards community to search, find and Go Play Pool.

A little bit about us...
GoPlayPool.com was founded August of 2010 by Mary Ann Starkey and Ramin Bakhtiari. The idea came about when Mary Ann was talking to a fellow pool player. She learned that a sports bar located near where she lives had 4 high quality tables. In the 6 years that she'd lived only minutes away from that establishment, she had no idea they had those equipment. That was when the idea came to life. Mary Ann thought, "There should be an application or website that offers a description of pool halls and sports bars and tells you everything you could possibly want to know about what they do." GoPlayPool.com was born.
Mary Ann and Ramin are on a mission. They want to bring the world of pool and billiards to a single source, so information, services and products are easy to find. There are a million things to find when it comes to the sport of pool and billiards...and they want to bring them all together, one step at a time.

Starting 2026
After extensive interviews, research and decisions, we have a successful team working to develop the app/website for it's next generation, so he is taking a backseat to this show and letting it happen.
Ramin still has the final say on everything and is involved daily for updates and approvals on designs, platform functionality and marketing.
Prior to 2026
Day to day operations supervision and marketing is all Ramin's job. Changes to the platform occur daily from, edits, updates to correction of any accounting and/or members issues on and off the platform. Ramin's job is to pretty much make sure everyone is happy and all operations are running smoothly!
